Devin Rowland
Devin Rowland is the President for KMA Companies, a fast growing and leading real estate development and property management company, based in Illinois. KMA Property Management Services is a licensed real estate brokerage that provides property management services to ~1000 apartments in Illinois and Indiana.
Devin leads KMA Companies in analyzing and deal sourcing, he serves as an owner’s representative in securing public and private funding and maintaining compliance in tax credit, mixed use, affordable, and market rate properties. He has overseen over $100 million dollars in in public and privately funded supportive, affordable and veteran housing real estate developments in IL and Indiana. He was named Latinos 40 under 40 by Negocios Now magazine in 2023.
In June 2023, KMA development Rauner Family Veterans Studios was awarded Illinois affordable housing development of the year by the Real Estate Journal.
KMA was awarded the 2022 recipient of the Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award (Edson Award) by the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) for their Rauner Family Veterans apartments development in Hobart Indiana.
Devin Rowland serves as Board Member of Certified Commercial Investment (CCIM) Member Organization & serves as Urban Land Institute (ULI) Young Leaders Board Co-Chair, ULI Advisory Board member, is a member of the ULI Multi-family Council. He volunteers with A Safe Haven and currently serves on the Board of Directors for SOS – IL an Illinois Foster program in Illinois.
Devin Rowland is an undergraduate of Purdue University Krannert School of Business and obtained a Master of Real Estate with Kellstadt Graduate School of Business from DePaul University as part of the inaugural ULI Cohort and University of Chicago Mergers and Acquisitions Executive Program. He holds a Managing Broker Real Estate License with KMA Property Management Services Inc.. Devin is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), meeting the national gold standard among the most distinguished real estate professionals in the industry.
Devin is married to his wife, Kristin. Some of Devin’s personal interests include Brazilian Ju Jitsu, traveling, running, and golfing.
Lizbeth Flores
Lizbeth Flores is the Designated Managing Broker for KMA Property Management Services, Inc. As an accomplished industry professional, with over 15 years of hands-on experience as a real estate broker, her expertise lies in managing affordable multifamily properties, ensuring that all applicants meet eligibility requirements for affordable housing. She has been involved with a broad range of affordable housing programs including Section 8-236, LIHTC, HOME, NSP, CLIHTF, HUD-VASH. She is proactive, initiating and managing all core business processes including leasing, clientele relations, and marketing material while ensuring each step of the processes are following current regulatory agencies. Bilingual (English/Spanish) with strong financial quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, her skills and ethic ensure that KMA’s real estate portfolio continues to receive exceptional ratings for inspection and audits as she oversees both the portfolio and property management team. Ms. Flores earned her Masters of Science in Real Estate from Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, at DePaul University. In her free time, she enjoys running, dancing, and spending time with her family.
Darlene Cruz-Herrera
Darlene Cruz-Herrera is a Property Manager for KMA Management Service Inc., responsible for the management and operations of Rauner Family Veterans Apartments in Hobart, Indiana. Bilingual (English/Spanish) has over 10 years of experience as a Real Estate Broker in Indiana. Before joining KMA Property Management, she worked five years as a Manager for UPS and six years as the Environmental Service Director for Towne Centre, a senior living facility in Merrillville, Indiana. She attended Indiana University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in business and environmental Services.
Alex Benson
Alex Benson is a Real Estate Operations Manager for KMA Property Management Service Inc., who is responsible for conducting technical analysis regarding new property construction or acquisitions and rehabilitation. His background lies in financial advising, having obtained FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63. This experience, as well as eight years of professional tax service, provides a unique insight for this role. In college, Alex studied economics at North Central College. Alex has also served on the A Safe Haven Foundation’s Advisory Board.
Precious Credit
Sr. Property Manager of 618 S. Wabash, A Safe Haven Veterans Village & 600 Commercial. Precious is an experienced manager and housing specialist having worked with Chicago Housing Authority in their housing department. Precious works very closely with the team at A Safe Haven Foundation to ensure that our 175 residents & commercial tenants receive the highest quality of service.
David Jones
David manages our newest development at Rauner Family Veterans Studios. Having worked at CHA and other similar tax credit communities, David brings experience and great customer service to the community residents. David works closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure that this property continues to serve the mission of serving Veterans and members of the community.
